while I loved my recent quick trip to siem reap in cambodia, it dawned on me that it's much easier to meet travelers when you're travelling solo and staying at cheap hotels and hostels, like all the other cheap travellers. While I have no problem staying at cheap hotels for short stints, I now prefer nicer places while travelling, which are usually filled with families or couples.Ah, the conundrum of nice hotels vs. meeting other cheap travelers.
