the pause that refreshes
One of the fun things from the trip to Antwerp was being smack dab in the middle of a city of great architecture once again. The town is full of great Art Deco and Beaux Arts buildings, a perfect tonic to the generic high-rises I've been staring at in HK for the past 10 months or so.
On the flip side, HK isn't infested with mosquitoes that eat you every night if you leave the windows open, like Antwerp, which is at sea level with ports and marshes surrounding it. I looked like a chicken pox victim from all the bites on my arms.

The rest are from a neighborhood of funky houses about a mile or so from the central train station. Each house has a different theme; this one was devils, who adorned the top of the building.

On the buildings on each side of this building were designed to look like the central building split the two.
